A glimpse of New Mexico
Here are a few things I've noticed living at my in-laws home and in New Mexico in general.
This is Bobby at San Juan College. It's not a very big school, but the campus a great place to take an evening walk together. It has a lot of neat little spots and some interesting decor scattered all over.
New Mexico has some incredible sunsets, especially with the late summer storms.
This was the big Labor Day project - redoing Pop's bridge. (For future reference, "Pop" is Bobby's Dad and "Sama" is his Mom. The Grandkids couldn't say Grandma, so it ended up being Sama. I don't know where Pop came from.) He decided to make it taller, so he added on the upper half and resealed everything.
Here's what it looks like today. The bench is Grandma Josie's favorite spot; she enjoys an outdoor breakfast watching the fish. It spans the pond, complete with waterfall and fountain...
...and the goldfish...

...there are two big koi, 9 little gold ones and 7 little brown ones that are really hard to find. They're fascinating to watch.
They brought back this giant redwood bear when they picked Bobby up from his mission. It appropriately stands by the pond.
This is the kids' playhouse. It has two stories, a balcony, rope swing, and even has linoleum flooring and lights that work on the inside.
If the grandkids aren't outside, theyr'e here. Sama owns her own promotional and marketing business and does vending machines. It's a kid magnet. Under peril of your life, don't say the word "quarter" anywhere near here. Or "key". They know either will give them toys and candy, and they especially like to use the quarters to get a treat and then the key to retrieve their quarters.
It's true -- he'll fix anything. This sign hangs on his tool shop/shed.
These are two more signs reading: "No Parking except for Hudson's. All others will be towed" and the other says, "No parking except for Grandpa's Hummer. All others will be towed". You can tell what kind of cars he likes...

Too fun! I love to see bits of your New Mexico life! Keep that new camera busy!
Love from Utah!
I'm so excited to see pics! Especially of Bobby's school and where you guys live! The Jordan's backyard is beautiful! I love the pond and the bridge. And I'm totally envious of the playhouse and the vending machines! That's like every kids dream come true!
