Expedition

Jeremiah and I were feeling cooped up the other day, so "we" (a.k.a. me) decided to make an expedition to the mailbox. This actually isn't as small and simple of an adventure as you think it would be. For us, there is no meandering out on the nice paved road. Oh no. We have to wade through the mud hole that was once upon a time the dirt road in front of our house. (My latest entertainment is watching the little white pickup the lives down the road trying to get UP the road. It has to be floored and keep it's momentum going to get through the mess. It flies through the mud as fast as it can, bouncing the poor driver all over the place. I keep waiting for the UPS guy to come through...he's fearless when it comes to these roads.)

So we dressed up for the occasion!

Cute shoes from Aunt Cammie.

Isn't he cute?

The adventuring outfit, complete with hood to keep his head warm.

Appropriate for the weather, and sometimes for Mom when she's stressed out.

And we're ready to go!

Aaagh! How can a child be so cute? I'm happy to claim him as my favorite nephew. :)
